What's it really like being a celebrity stylist? ... you may get to work with one now too.
Fashion has been my world for as long as I can remember. I’ve never worked outside of this industry, not for a single day. I started at 15, and now, at 25 going on 26, I’ve experienced nearly every corner of it: design, PR, visual merchandising, marketing, buying… you name it… I’ve done it.
My journey into celebrity styling wasn’t luck; it was the result of relentless hard work. After graduating from Parsons, I landed a major job offer as a private client stylist at a luxury retailer, only for it to fall through. Weeks later, I got an email from a celebrity stylist I had reached out to months before. I had sent thousands of emails during my job search, many to stylists I admired, and this time, I heard back from someone I truly looked up to. I took a step back, humbled myself, and went back to square one: interning.
I put my head down and worked. I spent a year and a half interning for multiple stylists, working six to seven days a week, absorbing everything I could. Then, during a trip to Milan (my favorite place on earth), I was introduced to my first client through a mutual connection.
That was the moment I officially became a stylist on my own. From there, I worked exclusively with celebrities, grinding every single day to build my name. What people saw was just an Instagram post of a look I "threw together."
What they didn’t see were the thousands of emails, the endless market lists, the rejections, the delayed shipments, the late-night calls with Europe. They didn’t see the work I did just for an Instagram tag or the projects that fell apart after weeks of preparation.
As an intern and assistant, I endured some of the most grueling hours and unimaginable situations… if you want to work in fashion, especially in the celebrity world, you need thick skin, zero ego, and no concept of personal time. I watched so many people around me give up, but I kept pushing forward with tunnel vision. And I have no regrets.
This industry has shaped me. It’s taught me the value of perseverance, networking, and interpersonal skills. It’s given me the opportunity to create beautiful work alongside some of the most talented artists in the world.
I’ve built relationships with brands I once could only dream of. And through it all, I did it for her, the little Brigitte who always dreamed of doing something big. Styling isn’t just what I do; it’s who I am. I’m a curator. I love bringing together different pieces of art to create something new, something unique just like mood boarding.
Now, I’m stepping into a new chapter. I want to expand my reach and help the everyday woman or man.
There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping someone feel truly confident in their skin. Whether you’re a celebrity, a working professional, a student… whoever you are I’m here to help you discover your personal style and image.
I’ve gained so much knowledge from the celebrity side of the industry, access to brands and designers that many people haven’t even tapped into. And now, I’m so excited to share that with all of you.
I can’t wait to work with you.
Xoxo,
B
